As part of the 2018 MLK Commemoration, donations are collected to support the work of Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC). AFAC is most in need of the following low sugar & low sodium items:

Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration 2018 on January 22, 2018
Day of Service
Please join us on Saturday, January 20, 2018 as we honor Dr. King’s legacy by participating in Mason’s MLK Day of Service at Women Giving Back (WGB) in Sterling, Virginia. Included in this project will be the unique opportunity to meet some of the clients WGB serves, as the store will open from 9 to 10am. Other aspects of the project include, sorting and hanging clothing, cleaning up the store and warehouse, restocking, and other duties as assigned.
OTHER DETAILS: The bus will leave Fairfax at 8am sharp and return to campus by 11:30am. This opportunity is open to all Mason students, faculty, and staff, and limited to the first 45 volunteers who sign up.
